At FluentFuture, our mission is to empower college students in India by providing comprehensive English language proficiency programs facilitated by enthusiastic high school student volunteers across the United States. We believe that language fluency is a powerful tool that can transcend borders, break down barriers, and create boundless opportunities. We recognize that knowledge goes beyond language proficiency, and thus we provide comprehensive support to our college student participants. Beyond English instruction, our advisors offer resources, mentorship, and guidance to enhance their overall educational experience to achieve their full potential.

This is our team of high school volunteers who have developed the curriculum and been working closely with college students in India.

President
AKSHAY HONAWAR
Akshay is a high school student from Pennsylvania who is passionate about making education engaging and accessible. As a volunteer teacher at Fluent Future, he leads weekly sessions to help engineering students in India improve their communication and presentation skills. He also teaches at Princeton Learning Experience (PLE), working with K–8 students in computer science, reading, and math. An award-winning science fair researcher in data science and AI, Akshay also co-leads his school’s Computer Science Club. He enjoys playing tennis, learning about cars, and gaming with friends.

Vice-President
RIAAN AJGAONKAR
Riaan is a Junior at a High School in Georgia with a strong passion for physics, mathematics, and computer science. An avid reader, he enjoys exploring new ideas and challenging himself academically. Beyond studies, he is dedicated to helping students enhance their English communication and writing skills by volunteering at FluentFuture to support college students overseas. At school, he works year-round on projects for his school’s Engineering club, engaging in projects that combine creativity with technical problem-solving.

RUTVI SHETYE
Rutvi is a freshman at a magnet high school in New Jersey with a strong interest in swimming and the medical field. She is passionate about health, wellness, and understanding how science can be used to improve lives. Through her volunteer work with Fluent Future, she is dedicated to helping students strengthen their English communication skills and build confidence in their academic journeys. Outside of volunteering, she enjoys swimming, reading, and wrestling.

AREEV AJGAONKAR
Areev is a high school sophomore who enjoys exploring different interests. He spends a lot of time practicing gymnastics and has learned the value of hard work through the sport. He likes taking part in activities like the science fair and speech contests, and feels lucky to have done well in them. In his free time, he enjoys reading and playing guitar and piano. Most of all, he’s thankful for the chance to try new things and learn from each experience.

VIHAAN JOGLEKAR
Vihaan is a high school student from New Jersey who enjoys teaching kids of all ages. In his free time, he plays video games and chess, and he is also a competitive swimmer.

Founder
AAROHI HEMMADY
Aarohi is an incoming freshman at The George Washington University studying International Affairs. She loves teaching English as she feels she can foster international connections and create strong bonds with her students. She taught English throughout her high school and spent a lot of her time volunteering. She was also an active board member of Amnesty International club at her high school and led projects for humanitarian causes. She likes to travel, spend time with her friends and family, and listen to music.

ARYA HONAWAR
Arya is an incoming freshman at Rutgers Pharmacy College in New Jersey. She likes to paint, bake, listen to music, and hang out with her friends in her free time. Arya led a student club during high school called “Babel” to provide a safe space for everyone to share their cultures and familiarize English learners with the school. She has improved her language & presentation skills and won many awards for science fair projects at both regional and state levels. She loved to teach English proficiency to make a difference in students lives.

NEIL SOMAN
Neil is an incoming freshman at University of Wisconsin at Madison. He will be pursuing Computer Engineering. He started teaching English during high school as a way to give back to the community and enjoyed every class he taught. He is an athlete and avid sports graphic designer. Neil has also actively contributed to ASU’s cybersecurity pen testing group and is passionate about improving website security. More than anything though, he loves to spend time with his family, friends, and his golden doodle Biscuit.
